Welcome to the Second International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture, scheduled for May 30 - 31, 2024. In today's rapidly evolving agricultural landscape, innovation is crucial to address the myriad challenges faced by the industry, including rising maintenance costs, labor shortages, and shifting consumer preferences. Fortunately, recent advancements in technology, in particular artificial intelligence, have paved the way for significant progress in modern agriculture.
One of the key areas of technological innovation lies in the application of autonomous systems to perform intricate tasks within farms. These systems, ranging from disease prediction to plant monitoring and harvesting, work in tandem with users to provide reliable data gathered from a multitude of sensors. This data not only enhances resource utilization but also minimizes losses, ultimately optimizing the cultivation process.
The primary objective of our workshop is to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among researchers and practitioners in the field. Through presentations and discussions, our esteemed speakers will share their insights and experiences, contributing to the advancement of research in artificial intelligence in agriculture, as well as other areas relevant to the topic. It is our hope that this gathering will not only strengthen existing research endeavors but also facilitate collaboration among institutions.
